tarte cosmetics is seeking a talented & strategic PR & Social Media Manager of international markets to join our team! The PR & Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing & driving the international 360 PR & social media programs for all for launches/activations as well as for the long term brand awareness strategy. This role is highly collaborative & will report directly to the Marketing Director and Executive Director of International, with support from Social Media Coordinators owning 1 direct report and 2 dot line reports. Our ideal candidate is beauty-obsessed with a proactive team player attitude, excellent communication & writing skills & is a multi-tasker that will reach deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Public Relations (PR):
    • Building relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers, using those relationships to create opportunities for brand exposure and coverage
    • Monitoring media coverage
    • Organizing events such as influencer events, trips, product launches, or media deskside.
    • Collaborating with Sephora on local multi-branded PR events and animations 
    • Developing PR strategies and out of the box opportunities to promote brand awareness and maintain a positive image.
  • Social Media:
    • Create social media timelines, proposals for tarte content on Sephora's local channels and negotiate exposures on retailer channels.
    • Creating and curating content that resonates with each country community and encourages interaction
    • Communicate the international team's content needs and partner with internal Content Creators and the Content/Video team to bring content to life
    • Analyzing community feedback and insights to inform marketing and PR strategies.
    • Developing creative campaigns and initiatives to support seasonal launches
    • Ensuring all content aligns with the company's brand voice and messaging.
    • Stay on top of the latest social media trends and create opportunity proposals

  • Collaboration:
    • Working closely with other departments such as marketing to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment of goals.
    • Collaborating with external partners, agencies, and stakeholders on PR and community initiatives.
  • Measurement and Reporting:
    • Tracking and analyzing PR and community metrics such as media mentions, social media engagement, and sentiment analysis.
    • Providing regular reports on the effectiveness of PR and community initiatives and making recommendations for improvement.
    • Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly social media reports

    Requirements:

    • Work out of tarte's Paris office
    • Fluent in French highly recommended
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 5+ years' relevant experience in PR & social media marketing
    • People management experience with 1+ direct reports
    • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment & meet changing deadlines on multiple projects
    • Strong problem-solving & troubleshooting skills
    • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
    • Works well under pressure & has a flexible & positive attitude
    • In-depth understanding of relevant & upcoming social media
    • Excellent verbal, communication & writing skills
    • Attention to detail & ability to multitask
    • Strong project management skills
    • Up to date on relevant cultural events
    • Passionate about beauty, beauty experience a plus
