Atlas V is thrilled to celebrate the nomination of two VR works: Wallace & Gromit in The Grand Getaway and Emperor in the Outstanding Emerging Media Program category at the 76th Emmy Awards. Wallace & Gromit in The Grand Getaway is based on the Academy Award®-winning stop-motion comedy franchise created by Nick Park, is a VR experience directed by Finbar Hawkins and Bram Ttwheam. Co-produced by Aardman Meta and Atlas V in association with No Ghost & ALBYON and distributed by Astrea this experience offers a joyful and playful virtual reality escapade. Narrated by Olivia Cooke (House of the Dragon, Ready Player One), directed by Marion Burger & Ilan Cohen Emperor is an interactive and narrative experience which invites the user to travel inside the brain of a father who is suffering from aphasia. The experience has traveled to numerous iconic festivals and captured the attention of global audiences since its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival 2023, where it won the Achievement Prize, before winning the XR Experience Spotlight Audience Award at SXSW 2024. Co-produced by Atlas V Reynard Films France Télévisions in association with ALBYON and distributed by Astrea, Emperor is celebrated not only for its inventive narrative structure but also for its deeply resonant and personal story. We’re so honored to have been invited by the Festival de Cannes to participate in its first-ever Immersive Selection by presenting a curated exhibition entitled “Cinema beyond the frame: an introduction to Virtual Reality”, aiming to illustrate the synergy between cinema and virtual reality.   A glimpse of six of our previous works will be presented in this exhibition (see full credits below) : - Notes on Blindness: Into Darkness (2015) by Arnaud Colinart, Amaury La Burthe, Peter Middleton, James Spinney  - Spheres (2017) by Eliza McNitt - Gloomy Eyes (2019) by Fernando Maldonado, Jorge Tereso  - Battlescar (2020) by Martin Allais, Nico Casavecchia - Missing Pictures: Naomi Kawase (2022) by Clement Deneux - Empereur (2023) by Marion Burger Ilan J.
