🇫🇷 🇳🇱 Last week, in collaboration with the Dutch Web 3 association 2Tokens, Adan hosted a private breakfast with representatives from businesses and the National Authority for the Financial Markets (Autoriteit Financiële Markten). During the breakfast, our EU Policy Officer, Adriana T. presented the findings of our annual Web3 ecosystem study (conducted with KPMG and Ipsos) and Olivier Rikken presented the outcomes of the Analysis conducted by 2Tokens and the Dutch Blockchain Coalition on ‘’Tokenization in the Netherlands’’. 🚀 The breakfast was a unique opportunity to highlight the positive results of the ADAN study- which demonstrate that the adoption of crypto-assets in Europe continues to progress- and to engage in a stimulating dialogue on tokenization, addressing the legal and operational obstacles, as well as how well-suited is NL for tokenization. 👉 Attendees emphasized the significance of receiving institutional support to foster the growth of the ecosystem. Key highlights of the Dutch ecosystem ✅ Awareness of crypto-assets is roughly the same in all European countries surveyed where we see a high knowledge in the Netherlands with 79% ✅ The Netherlands is Europe's crypto-assets adoption champion ✅ Crypto ownership is more prevalent among young, highly educated Dutch ✅ 69% of Dutch users prefer to custody crypto assets through an intermediary, whereas 18% do via a personal wallet, and 13% use both ✅ 54% of Dutch are interested in acquiring crypto assets, which overall demonstrates that adoption is expected to increase  A huge thank you to in-person and online attendees and to 2Tokens and Olivier Rikken for their outstanding hospitality and for co-hosting this successful event! The #W3LF 2024 comes to a close with an excellent speech by Christophe De Beukelaer, Member of Parliament and President of Brussels, who was one of the first politicians to believe in #crypto and to express this publicly. Thank you very much, Mr De Beukelaer, for honouring us with your presence and, as you said: "#Blockchain and crypto are profoundly changing the landscape of finance. Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, says that Bitcoin is digital gold and will become a safe haven for citizens. It is even a hot topic in the US election campaign. It's time to move beyond the usual clichés (money laundering, terrorist financing, etc.) and focus on the real issues. But if the political world does not open its eyes, they will leave Belgium and develop elsewhere!"

The #Web3 already represents 5000 startups in Europe! This is the conclusion of the Truffle Capital and Bpifrance report for Adan presented this afternoon at the Web 3 Leaders Forum. As we pointed out in our manifesto for Europe in May 2024, Europe is now a world leader when it comes to business start-ups, but it is still struggling to produce world-class unicorns and is being dominated by other powers when it comes to Web3 unicorns on its territory. Two months ago, we recommended in our Manifesto that Europe take concrete actions to guarantee start-ups access to finance throughout their development cycle. Reading the report on investment in Web 3, which will be published soon (we will keep you posted!), shows that this is a necessity.

Inspiring opening speech from Mathieu MICHEL at the #W3LF organised by Adan. "Web 3 is not just an evolution of the internet but a revolution of how we connect and interact. Decentralization opens a new era for security, efficiency and transparency in the industries. That is what the Europeum project, which was a priority of the Belgian presidency, aimed at getting benefits from. Blockchain is one of the keys for tomorrow's world, and let's remember that if you are not ahead, you are always behind." Thanks Mister minister for these words. Together, Belgium, France and all Member States can embrace this innovation and build a great ecosystem of #Web3 champions that will bring Europe to another level in terms of digital sovereignty.
