the wood print was on a piece of plywood and rather mono-chromatic yellowish and had none of the brilliance and detail that the painting showed - a yellow swan - the plywood showing on the side - i was disappointed but still like the artwork very much - just expected a better quality on the wood print - should have ordered the canvas - well - now I know

The color here washes out on wood. It would have been best printed on paper for better color vibrancy and contrast. Disappointing results on wood.

James W Johnson was born and raised in Upstate NY and moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1978. He received an MFA from Texas Tech University in 1981 and has continued to live in Lubbock as a studio artist. While being primarily a painter, James has spent over 80,000 hours creating a complex body of work in a wide variety of mediums such painting, video, drawing, sculpture, etching, digital, mixed media and furniture. James W Johnson has participated in over 200 exhibitions worldwide.
