🌐 Question of the Day: How are structural strength and technical reliability confirmed? Ever wondered how we ensure the strength and reliability of our 3D printed structures? At Hyperion, we comply with rigorous Eurocode standards, specifically: ● EN 1990 Appendix D (Design and Testing of Structures) ● EN 1992-1-1: Design of concrete structures - General rules and rules for buildings ● EN 206: 2014: Concrete - Specification, performance, production and conformity ● EN 1997-1:2004: Geotechnical Design In addition, we are part of JG80 ISO ASTM group and working with RILEM Association, the International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems and Structures to draft standards specifically related to 3DCP. We validate structural integrity through Eurocode-based calculations, advanced FEM analyses, and comprehensive physical testing at Eurofins and our own facilities.

We were thrilled to showcase our optimized drawpit and foundation at the MMBC Seminar in beautiful Harrogate. We also live-streamed the printing of a concrete distribution chamber from our production facility. The hay, Fazer chocolate and Kinder Eggs just added a perfect touch to the countryside theme at the Yorkshire Event Centre. It was fantastic to finally meet +2200 MMB colleagues in person instead of over Teams calls!! A big thanks to Nick Fawcett and Ian Bester for the invitation. The award-winning Hyperion drawpits, manufactured and shipped in just two months, are designed to Eurocodes and customised to client specifications.
