The new revival miniseries Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life may end on a major cliffhanger, but for actor Matt Czuchry, there’s no mystery about what his character should do next.

During a Facebook Live Q&A on Thursday, Czuchry was asked what advice he’d give to Logan, the blue-blooded off-and-on love interest of Alexis Bledel’s Rory.

“Don’t marry Odette,” Czuchry said bluntly. “Chase down Rory and make that work. She is the love of your life! Odette I always kind of looked at as part of [Logan’s] family obligations.”

The actor also discussed the connection that Logan and Rory share. “Logan will always love Rory for the rest of his life, and that’s why they can’t quit each other,” he said. “I think from Rory’s perspective, I’d like to say that she feels comfortable with Logan. She can call him up when she’s going through a difficult time. She knows that he’ll provide for [her]. So that’s what makes them so they can’t quit each other.”

Naturally, Czuchry was asked to weigh in on the much-hyped final four words of the revival. “That’s a little bit of a question that I can’t really go into,” he said, “because those four words obviously impact someone, and it was left open, so I’ll leave that to [executive producers] Amy [Sherman-Palladino] and Dan [Palladino].”
