The cast and crew of Downton Abbey have been capturing their emotional last days on set as they prepare to say farewell to the series. Michelle Dockery a.k.a. Lady Mary Crawley shared her own goodbye via Instagram on Monday, with a little help from Oliver and Zac Barker, who together play the role of Dockery’s onscreen son, George.

“Today is the last day of what has been the most glorious 6 years of my life. I am so grateful to have been part of this family,” Dockery wrote in the caption. “Thank you to each and every one of you out there for watching.”

Back in March, it was announced that the sixth season would be the series’ last. But there may be hope for a movie in the future.

“If we had gone to a season 7 or 8 we would have taken it that much further,” executive producer Julian Fellowes said during a final season press conference. “There’s speculation about whether we’ll ever make a Downton movie, we might, but there are no firm plans. But it means there’s a lot of rich [remaining] territory.”

As for Dockery, she recently joined Charlotte Rampling, Emily Mortimer, and Harriet Walter for Ritesh Batra’s upcoming adaptation of The Sense of an Ending. Filming for that project is slated to pick up later this month.

The final season of Downton Abbey premieres in the U.S. Jan. 3 on PBS. To read more on the press conference with the cast and crew, head here.
