Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery, Emily Mortimer join The Sense of an Ending

  • The Sense of an Ending added a quartet of actresses to the cast: Michelle Dockery, Charlotte Rampling, Emily Mortimer, and Harriet Walter. Billy Howle, Freya Mavor, and Joe Alwyn also joined. Nick Payne is adapting the award-winning book by Julian Barnes about how the old and lonely Tony Webster (Jim Broadbent) whose foundation is rocked when he’s given an old friend’s diary. Filming for Ritesh Batra‘s project begins Aug. 16 in London. [Deadline]
  • Emile Hirsch and J.K. Simmons‘ upcoming comedy has tapped Xosha Roquemore of The Mindy Project. The Runaround follows a work-obsessed man (Simmons) trying to visit her daughter during a layover — but she’s gone. So he recruits her ex-boyfriend (Hirsch) to track her down. Gavin Wiesen directs a script from Seth W. Owen. The movie’s in production in Los Angeles. [The Hollywood Reporter]
  • Neighbors 2 grabbed Kiersey Clemons and Beanie Feldstein for the sequel. Their roles are unknown, but they will reportedly be friends with Chloë Grace Moretz‘s character. Director Nicholas Stoller and stars Zac Efron, Seth Rogen, and Rose Byrne are all back. It’s slated for a May 20, 2016 release. [The Hollywood Reporter]
  • Patrick Duffy and Anne Archer have been enlisted in director Will Wallace’s Trafficked. It’s based on Siddharth Kara‘s book Sex Trafficking: Inside the Business of Modern Slavery.
