Myth #1: Performers Have No Agency Contrary to popular belief, performers often have significant control over their careers and carefully choose their projects and partners. Myth #2: Porn is a Direct Reflection of Reality Adult films are scripted and produced for entertainment, not as realistic depictions of everyday life, so people should never compare them. Myth #3: Performers Are Forced into the Industry Performers enter the industry willingly, drawn by the opportunity to express their sexuality and creativity. Myth #4: Performers have Terrible Working Conditions Professional sets prioritize performers' safety and well-being, ensuring a respectful and supportive environment. They have their pros and cons, as any other job. Myth #5: Performers Must Do Things They Don’t Want to Do Consent is fundamental in adult filmmaking. Performers have the right to refuse any scene or act they are uncomfortable with and that's why we have an Intimacy Coordinator in every set. The Importance of Education and Awareness We encourage you to educate yourself before forming opinions about any industry. Last week, we went back to our beloved Phenomena Experience in Barcelona and held a special screening of five movies celebrating Pride 🌈🎬 It was all about celebrating diverse sexual identities and orientations, and the importance of creating spaces within the art community to educate and discuss these topics, especially in the adult film industry ✨ We had some fantastic discussions about performers' rights, consent, and the lessons they've learned along the way. Plus, there were amazing looks and self-expression in a safe, fun environment 🎉💃 Huge thanks to our Q&A stars María Riot, Kali Sudhra, Panterino, and director Aleix Rodon for shedding light on these crucial topics 🙏✨ And big love to everyone who came and participated. Last week, we celebrated our 20th anniversary in a museum from Barcelona that showcases art pieces that have been censored and forbidden throughout the years. We thought it was a pretty appropriate location for a brand like ours 🌟 Performers, journalists, industry friends, and collaborators from all around the world joined us, and the celebration was better than we could have ever imagined 🎉 We were honoured to present a heartfelt retrospective of our journey, showcasing two decades of passion, creativity, and breaking boundaries ✨ We are grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and hope you gained valuable insights into ethical adult cinema!
