Obviously not all the early khagans/regents of the Mongol Empire were posthumously promoted by Kublai Khan (the founder of the Yuan Dynasty) as Yuan emperors. Kublai never promoted female regents as Yuan emperors, though he did promote his father, regent Tolui, as a Yuan emperor.--209.90.146.12 (talk) 06:20, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
