Splitting proposal[edit]

The result of this discussion was to split the 2019 and 2020 years out into Template:Netflix original ended series (2019–present) and rename Template:Netflix original ended series to Template:Netflix original ended series (2012–18). Terasail[Talk] 15:03, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I propose that this navbox should be split into two separate templates called Netflix original ended series (2012–18) & Netflix original ended series (2019–present) Netflix original ended series (2019+). As stated at WP:NAV-WITHIN, "They should be kept small in size as a large template has limited navigation value". And since this template currently has 37 lines of links, and it will continue to increase, I think it is best to split the 2019 & 2020 sections into a new navbox template. Since the 2012-18 sections alone is quite large with 27 lines. Terasail[Talk] 11:21, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Terasail: I agree with the idea that you propose for the new navbox template. I think such change would be for the best. Elainasla (talk) 21:40, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If anything, it would be "Netflix original ended series (2012–18)" and "Netflix original ended series (2019–present)", to conform with naming conventions. -- /Alex/21 14:29, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Re-division of sections[edit]

I propose the following (I only did a partial to see comparison) reorganization of subsections here (see 2016, 2017). I'm skeptical on the usefulness of this navbox (as well as compliance with WP:NAV when almost half the text is just "(20xx-yy)", especially where the lead year is always redundant. It makes reading through these lists (with 40+ entries) pretty painful in my personal opinion. My proposition groups the shows by end date so that we can eliminate the parentheticals all together. Thoughts?

Once again - this is only a partial implementation of the idea at this point. Would do the other sections if it was found favorable.DLManiac (talk) 21:38, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
