Sports venues

[edit]

My sense is that this list is not comprehensive. CMR High School is also a sports venue, as is Swarthout Fieldhouse at GFHS—and it contains a basketball court which (with bleachers retracted) can also serve as an indoor track, as well as a pool. There's also the 1,200-seat Old Gym at GFHS, which is often used for wrestling and volleyball tournaments. There's also the Central Montana IcePlex, which is the only ice rink in the city (although one assumes that the cooling elements are still in the floor at Four Seasons Arena, and it could be transformed back to a rink at some future time). Finally, there's the Morony Natatorium—which has lots of seating for swimming events. I'm not sure if the Great Falls Community Recreation Center should be included, as it was built after I left the city and I don't know about seating. I've ruled out East and North middle schools, because although they have been used for non-school events that is rare and not their primary purpose.

So: What do people think of including CMR, GFHS, the IcePlex, and the Natatorium on this list? OK? (I can easily forsee this becoming its own annotated list, not a series of links on this infobox.) - Tim1965 (talk) 00:58, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

They should only be on the list here if there is an article about the venue. The purpose of a navigation box is to provide navigation. If we want to just list all the sports venues, we should have an article called List of sports venues in Great Falls, Montana or List of buildings in Great Falls, Montana (e.g., see List of sports venues in Hamilton, Ontario).
