Why are there Albanian jokes? Is there Albanians in Romania at all? Or the jokes are imported from Serbia?

Dunno, the real question would be why are there Scottish jokes, LOL...Voievod 01:43, August 19, 2005 (UTC)

Growing up in Israel, I heard the the joke about the Russian and the vodka, as well as the jokes about the Somalians (along with many other ones in the same vein), many times. I don't recall anything that suggested that these jokes had Romanian origins (or any other specific origin). Dorfl 13:53, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What's with the "joke" about Avram Iancu's statue and hanging Hungarians? That's not funny, it's downright evil. There's no reason why such a "joke," which supports an ethnic divide, should be representative of any country's humour. I will delete it. Get the fuck out, that's one of the best Romanian jokes. "supports an ethnic divide" is bullshit - every people on Earth has jokes about minorities and no one gets offended. 193.230.230.101 (talk) 11:30, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've restored it. 193.230.230.101 (talk) 11:35, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Scottish? What the fuck?

[edit]

Why the fuck would Romania tell jokes about Scotland? Telling jokes about a small country within a country on the other side of Europe is akin to us telling a joke about Vojvodina. Alan McBrazil Burger (talk) 20:50, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regions of Romania

What about the Dobrujans? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.228.110.131 (talk) 09:37, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello IP176.228.51.29 (previously working from IP 84.228.110.131). I'm happy to answer your valid question, so there's no need to delete it. The article is about Romanians as an ethnic group, while Dobruja was and is a region predominantly inhabited by other ethnicities. The basis of your query is highly pertinent, however. The entire article simply isn't reliably sourced. I don't think the regions section should exist as it's heftily WP:UNDUE. It has been tagged for sourcing for a year, and I think it's high time that it gets pruned back to a stub. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedic resource, not a repository for original research.
