Delimitation

[edit]

Even with a broad definition of 'communist party', the factions from AIFB and social democratic formations (like DSP(PC), WBSP) should not be listed as 'communist parties'. --Soman (talk) 20:51, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mess needing cleanup

[edit]

This list is a complete mess. Organizing the article by alliance doesn't work, since alliances are fluid by nature. Better to organize by lineage somehow, but first a cleanup of removal of Trotskyists, general leftist and some seemingly non-left Forward Bloc factions needs to occur. --Soman (talk) 21:34, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I am removing irrelevant information such as historical information (as this article is merely listing parties not detailing histories). Removing notes on alliance histories and categorizations. Removing party flags, limiting to election symbols.
I propose creating another article for List of Defunct Communist Parties of India.
Lastly, will be removing extremely minor, small and extremely localized communist parties. This article needn't be comprehensive as - a wikipedia category for Communist parties in India exists. Sexking420 (talk) 13:04, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Party Expulsions and Government infiltrations ?

[edit]

Very entertaining Wiki, if possible could someone write a section on who has been expelled the most times from an Indian communist party?
Were any Indian Communist Parties affiliated with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_International_Posadist">J Posadius Fourth International</a>
English leftist and communist groups were regularly infiltrated by <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/ng-interactive/2018/oct/15/uk-political-groups-spied-on-undercover-police-list">police spies</a> has anyone in India got an entertaining resource they could add to this site ?
