I'd reverted the edit [1]. It feels as too technical and after all, the support may be added someday.

Well, it is about TECHNOLOGY. I just spent far too much of my time this afternoon trying to implement this missing feature. Would it be so bad to add a brief list of technical features? I mean, look at how good MySQL MySQL the mysql page is.... When support is added, we will UPDATE THE PAGE. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.254.113.62 (talk) 2005-12-20T20:11:47 (UTC) Pavel Vozenilek

HSQLDB does meet the notability criteria even if the article falls short. I'm curious as to the lack of updates on their website though, perhaps it will go the way of Kaffe mentioned in the article. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dmcmanam (talkcontribs) 2007-04-20T12:34:09 (UTC)

references and notability

[edit]

This article needs some references; it has none, as it stands. I've tagged it for notability because, as the article reads, it seems like it's just another open-source project. I've also marked it as a stub; it's just barely not, but the content it does have is uncited and very weasely ("fast", and so on). Specifically, I wonder about the claim that it runs only in memory; does this mean the code doesn't page out? Even considering the size of the Java VM? Or that the data doesn't page out? Then, how does it persist? -- Mikeblas 19:33, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since I used HSQLDB for a while in my previous projects, I added some essentials and references. Do you think the stub can be removed now? Exceeder 19:50, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not quite. Only one of the references is from a third party; and the one that's from a secondary source is self-published. -- Mikeblas 20:05, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
