Atascadero State Hospital was mentioned on a 1996 episode of Mad Tv, during a sketch called "schizophrenic jeapordy' —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.176.170.210 (talk) 20:23, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Impartial?

[edit]

The introduction paragraph is straight out of a tourism brochure. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.9.234.201 (talk) 19:13, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Civic building?

[edit]

"... first civic building in Atascadero, The Printery, had the first rotogravure presses west of Chicago." What makes this a 'civic' building? ;Bear (talk) 00:15, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Most Dangerous?

[edit]

I removed the section on Atascadero being the 28th most dangerous place based on some pretty clear evidence that the article cited isn't fully accurate, or the data the article uses is not used accurately (or the data is missing elements or was reported wrong).

An article in a local newspaper there explains the issue. http://www.sanluisobispo.com/2015/02/19/3498530_atascadero-most-dangerous-city.html?rh=1

To say some place is ranked the most dangerous is a very big accusation. We always try to ensure what we do here is fair, accurate and fact-based. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Syberexile (talkcontribs) 00:48, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Atascadero State Hospital

[edit]

No mention of the Atascadero State Hospital, notable both for its reputation as the "gay Dachau" and as a party in Atascadero State Hospital v. Scanlon, a United States Supreme Court case limiting sovereign immunity? --45.48.161.235 (talk) 00:11, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

History section has no reference

[edit]

The history section has no reference and I propose that it should be removed if one is not found. I'm not sure how much time is should be allowed to pass before it is removed. 2602:306:CFC7:CB00:35B1:EE25:6CC0:9FFD (talk) 18:01, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Atascadero is in the 30th Assembly District, not the 35th. As such, the box on the right should list Dawn Addis, not Jasmeet Bains, as the Assemblymember.
