Samson Iosifovich Samsonov (Russian: Самсо́н Ио́сифович Самсо́нов; 23 February 1921 – 31 August 2002) was a Soviet and Russian film director and screenwriter, he was granted the honorary title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1991.[1]

Samson Samsonov graduated from Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in 1951, where he studied under Sergei Gerasimov.
