Wayren is developing a Communication Platform for providing uninterrupted communication in the world’s most demanding environments, such as the battlefield, underground, remote areas and space to ensure safety and efficiency. Whether it is first responders coordinating during a natural disaster, firefighters extinguishing forest fires in remote areas, the defence forces operating in austere conditions or underground mining operations, there is a need for a reliable and efficient way to share critical information without cell towers and fixed infrastructure. We offer a communication platform to quickly deploy reliable mesh networks with a wide range of communication equipment such as digital radios, satellite, or even Bluetooth and LoRa networks. Furthermore, it does not require central management and can function off-the-grid. With our efficient data exchange protocol, we ensure that those links are working under extreme conditions such as with limited bandwidth or poor signal quality due to difficult terrain. We efficiently resynchronise data that has been lost in transmission or when nodes reconnect after being offline.

A business delegation from the Estonian Defence and Aerospace Industry Association visited Norway on 5-6 June with the aim of finding new markets and partners for Estonian defence companies. During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the Norwegian Defence Industry Association, the Norwegian Ministry of Defence and local companies. The Norwegian Ministry of Defence provided a comprehensive overview of the next 12 years of investments in the defence sector and highlighted potential cooperation opportunities for defence companies in the region. There was a strong interest in Estonian defence industry products and production capabilities, which creates a positive expectation for further cooperation projects. The visit was attended by 10 Estonian and 19 Norwegian companies. Special thanks are due to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and especially to the #EstonianEmbassyinOslo, which hosted the delegations. Our Venture Partner, Dominykas Milasius, highlighted these crucial topics in his keynote.🛸 The event continued with a discussion featuring Deep Tech investors Sandra Golbreich, our General Partner, together with Marko Kuisma, partner at Innovestor, Pontus Stråhlman, Partner at Voima Ventures and Tarun Sharma, Partner & COO at Nokia Ventures and moderator 🧙♂️ Erik Bhullar, our General Partner.
