Create a strategy

A strategy, within the context of a defined placement, is a decision tree that dynamically governs the selection and display of experiences based on contextual information, such as details about the website visitor and the page they are viewing.

A strategy contains a combination of two components: visit conditions and experiences.

Strategy Creation

Use the following steps to create a strategy:

1. On the Strategies tab, click Create Strategy. The strategy details page appears with a default decision tree.
2. Add branches to the decision tree based on conditions or a traffic split.
3. At the end of each branch, add an experience:
   • Content experiences to configure player options, customize player appearance, and select content
   • Advertising experiences to define ad settings, set up ad breaks, and enable Player Bidding
   • Triggers to define event rules that initiate actions
   • Custom code to inject custom JavaScript code
   • Hide player to not display the player
4. Click Save.
