Does the Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) support USB drives formatted as exFAT or HTFS?
I want to watch large videos i.e. greater than 4GB in size but FAT32 doesn't support that. Can I use a USB Thumb drive formatted as exFAT or HTFS?

You can access & play them over your local network using a 3rd party app like File Explorer https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fe-file-explorer-pro-tv/id1052637098. Includes a built-in player, can recommend.

Thanks for that info, I was told it had one. I was thinking of buying one but only if it supported one of the two formats since my TV doesn't support either one. I can't play long home videos. My TV only supports FAT32.

Since there is no usb port on the Apple TV, where would you insert it?
Apple TV is a streaming platform.
