Laura holds a PhD in Criminology from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Mental Health from Queen Mary University of London. She has worked as a violence prevention researcher for over six years. Since 2020, Laura has collaborated with the Demographic Change and Healthy Ageing Unit at WHO, contributing to specific projects like the Global Report on Ageism. Currently, she coordinates a WHO-led initiative aimed at accelerating the development of effective interventions for abuse of older people across low-, middle-, and high-income countries. Laura also collaborates with the Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research at WHO, contributing to the advancement of knowledge on violence against women.
