Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD) functions ensure safety when driving, they are like guardian angels on board. However, to ensure that they are functional at all times, they must be checked regularly to ensure that they are operating correctly. One option is to extend the periodical technical inspection (PTI) to include ADAS and AD functions. Rohde & Schwarz is working on an automotive radar target simulator that can also be used in the PTI in the future.
