At Winergy, we celebrate our next milestone: the first Wind Turbine Generators manufactured at our Chennai plant in India. Together with esteemed guests from our customer Nordex India as well as Jörg Sieber, Head of Wind Generators, our Indian colleagues celebrated this significant milestone with the transport of the first generators to Nordex India. The newly developed generator assembly facility compliments the range of wind turbine gearboxes produced at the site. We further enhance the support of local demands from our customers in the wind industry. Auf zwei Doppelseiten beschreibt er, warum die Offshore-Industrie an einem Scheideweg für Antriebskonzepte steht und wie dabei die Chance besteht, sowohl die Gestehungskosten der Windenergie zu senken als auch kritische Rohstoffe wie Kupfer und seltene Erden einzusparen. Die Basis dafür war ein intensiver Austausch mit Thorsten Fingerle und Roland Zeichfüßl. Beide sind maßgeblich daran beteiligt, unsere Winergy-Antriebe in die Zukunft zu führen. Thorsten Fingerle verantwortet das Technische Produktmanagement für Getriebe und Roland Zeichfüßl die System- und Grundlagenentwicklung sowie Prüfung unserer Generatoren. Die Verbindung der beiden Komponenten Getriebe und Generator zu einem mittelschnellen Antriebssystem wie unserem HybridDrive werde nach Ansicht der beiden zukünftig mindestens die Hälfte des Offshore-Marktes erobern. It was great to welcome a team from Vestas to our Winergy plant to discuss the future! During their visit in Voerde, we made a tour in our service workshop and in the production lines, specifically designed for Vestas. In addition to the factory tour, we also held a service strategy workshop to strengthen our business relationship even further. Our Sales responsible for Vestas Service, Emre Yildirim, shared his thoughts on the visit: "It is always a pleasure for us when customers visit our sites. The strategic partnership with Vestas is of great importance to us. At Winergy we also used the occasion of the Flender 125th anniversary to meet and celebrate together! We celebrated 125 years of Flender at the kick-off event at our headquarters in Germany together with our valued customers and suppliers but, most importantly, our dedicated employees. We are proud to share that we marked this event in a way that truly reflects our values and spirit at Flender and at Winergy. Coming together for the celebration, we also had a 2-day management team workshop with participants from Sales, Engineering, Service, and other departments. Our Flender CEO Andreas Evertz is running for the Wind Europe board. With our drivesystems we are at the heart of the wind industry. Wind energy is a strategically important pillar in Europe's energy security. The good news: wind farm installations are increasing again. The bad news: the supply chain behind this and our European industries are in danger. We need cost competitiveness within the global market environments if we want to secure a stable and healthy wind industry in Europe. That is the reason why Andreas Evertz is running as candidate for the new WindEurope board. As the European Wind Energy association WindEurope is voice of the European wind industry.
