𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰!🏅 Did you know that the Paris 2024 Olympic Games aim to be the most sustainable Games in history? And that green hydrogen is set to play a pivotal role in making these Games greener? Here are some facts: ⛳Green hydrogen is powering five hydrogen generators, boosting local electrical capacity during the equestrian, modern pentathlon, and golf events in Versailles and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. 🏙️ The Games are acting as a catalyst for expanding hydrogen infrastructure in Paris. The number of hydrogen refuelling stations is expected to double, the hydrogen vehicle fleet will triple in size. This infrastructure will continue to benefit the city long after the Olympic Games have ended. 🚗 The Paris 2024 organizers are using a fleet of 500 green hydrogen-powered cars to transport athletes, officials, and guests around Paris. After the Olympics, these cars will be integrated into the fleet of taxis serving the Paris area. Additionally, a dozen hydrogen fuel-cell buses are being used to transport the athletes. We're absolutely on fire to see the Paris 2024 Olympic Games going for 'green gold.' Green hydrogen can enable climate neutrality in numerous applications. At Sunfire, we initially see the greatest need for the use of green hydrogen in industry. As a torchbearer in industrial electrolysis, we at Sunfire share the 'Olympian' dream of a fossil-free future. 🌍💚 #HydrogenIsTheAnswer #Sunfire #GreenHydrogen #Paris2024

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻! In the first half of 2024, the EU generated more electricity from renewable energy sources than from fossil fuels for the first time. 🌬️☀️ According to think tank Ember, wind and solar contributed 30% to European electricity generation. 💪 This is fantastic news, bringing us one step closer to carbon neutrality and energy resilience. 💥 However, while we should celebrate this accomplishment, there is still a long way to go before a complete phase-out of fossil fuels. 🗝️ Key government measures such as strong funding, demand incentives and regulatory clarity will be essential to winning the race against climate change and building a strong European clean tech industry. 💧⚡ At Sunfire, we are committed to our vision: to free the world from fossil fuels. Our innovative hydrogen technologies enable large industrial companies achieve carbon neutrality. Let's keep up the good work and stay focused on our mission to bring renewables everywhere! 🌱 #HydrogenIsTheAnswer

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? 💧⚡ Green hydrogen is produced by electrolysis. Water (H₂O) is split into its basic components - hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen (O₂) - by the use of a green electric current. This takes place in an electrolyzer, which contains an anode (positive electrode) and a cathode (negative electrode). 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀? When electricity flows through the electrolyzer, water molecules (H₂O) move to the anode and cathode. Oxidation takes place at the anode: Electrons are removed and oxygen (O₂) is produced. Reduction takes place at the cathode: electrons are accepted and hydrogen (H₂) is produced. If the required electricity comes from renewable sources such as solar or wind, the hydrogen produced is completely green! 🌱 Electrolysis therefore plays a central role in the sustainable production of hydrogen and contributes to the realization of our vision: Free the world from fossil fuels. 💙 #HydrogenIsTheAnswer #Sunfire #GreenHydrogen #Electrolyzers

𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲: “𝗔 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸” 🏛️ In an interview with Sächsische Zeitung, Nicola Beer, Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), highlights Sunfire's role in the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. 🌱 💬 “Sunfire is a key building block if we truly want to shift our economy from fossil fuels to renewables. We need a substantial amount of hydrogen for this transition. The company is developing innovative electrolyzers that can produce green hydrogen more cost-effectively and make it available locally – including energy-intensive industries such as cement and steel production, or the chemical sector. This technology is also beneficial for heavy-duty transportation, ships, and airplanes that cannot be easily electrified in its entirety.” Beer emphasized that the focus now is on convincing the economy that green hydrogen is a viable medium for industries to transition from fossil fuels to green energy: 💬 "We are confident that this business model will be competitive." Senior Manager Regulatory Affairs - Sunfire

👋 Hello Sunfire, Hello Brussels! 👋 A few weeks ago, Sunfire opened up its brand-new EU representation in Brussels. I’m excited to represent Sunfire in my new role as Senior Manager Regulatory Affairs in this vibrant European hub! Being in Brussels – the beating heart of Europe❤️🔥 – is essential for cleantech leadership: 🗺️ The path towards a net-zero economy is policy-reliant: EU policies and regulations are not just some abstract documents full of technical jargon. If drafted properly, they can be extremely powerful, driving the green and competitive economy Europe urgently needs. 👂 There should be no doing without listening: Brussels is a global hub, gathering an unparalleled variety of stakeholders and industry knowledge. Sharing, but also receiving new perspectives on challenges and opportunities faced by our sector is essential to a company’s success story. 💙 Brussels is a unique platform to create new synergies that will help delivering on our mission: the successful development of a green hydrogen economy can only happen as a result of a deep collaboration between all stakeholders. Being present in the EU capital helps Sunfire to stay on top of the latest industry debates, enhancing our decision-making and leadership. I look forward to expanding our network and building new alliances to accelerate the deployment of green hydrogen. How do you think being in Brussels helps (or could help) your company to achieve its goals?

Keine Personalarbeit funktioniert ohne gute Partner. Danke an unsere Standnachbarn und bestehende Partner worx Personalmanagement GmbH & ein ganz besonderer Dank an unseren ausscheidenden Studenten Marvin. Du bist ganz spontan hier eingesprungen und hast das grandios gemacht! 💐 Danke für die Einladung an Lisa Hübsch #erneuerbareeenergien #wasserstoff #grünerwasserstoff #solarwatt #worx /// 🤝🏽Erneuerbare Energies help each other!🤝🏽 Yesterday we had the honour of being part of the Solarwatt job fair. ⚡ As part of a reorganisation of the company, Solarwatt has to cut around 170 jobs. The employees affected come from the areas of production, logistics, maintenance, development and quality. Solarwatt organised yesterday's job fair to make the transition to new jobs easier for employees. There was never any question of us taking part in this job fair, even though we are currently hiring fewer people than we were a few months ago. We had some great conversations and it is impressive to see how many career changers Solarwatt has given a job opportunity to, some of them more than 20 years ago, who now have to reorient themselves on the labour market. One person at our stand even had tears in his eyes. Especially in these situations, it's nice to be able to help people and give them hope. Many of the employees deliberately came to our stand because they have decided in favour of the renewable energy sector and want to remain loyal to it. That really impressed me. No HR work works without good partners. Thank you to our stand neighbours and existing partners worx & a very special thank you to our outgoing student Marvin. You jumped in spontaneously and did a fantastic job! 💐 Thanks for the invitation Lisa Hübsch #renewableenergies #hydrogen #greenhydrogen #solarwatt

𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲. While parts of Europe have gone on summer break, the European hydrogen world has been kept busy. From national #IPCEI announcements to legislative changes to the #H2Global pilot auction – a lot has happened. While some initiatives could be improved, they have moved Europe’s hydrogen plans forward and will initiate important #FIDs. 🕶️Looking for an update during the summer break? We got you covered! 𝗜𝗣𝗖𝗘𝗜 𝗛𝘆𝟮𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮🏭: The German and Spanish government are providing fundings to hydrogen projects in their respective countries under the IPCEI program. In Germany alone, 7.9 bn EUR in hydrogen investments will be triggered by 23 selected projects. These projects represent 1.4 GW of electrolysis capacity and over 2000 kilometers of hydrogen pipeline to be built by 2030. Furthermore, Spain’s national IPCEI projects will result in over 650 MW of additional electrolysis capacity on the Iberian Peninsula. This means that we can look forward to many exciting FIDs in the coming months. 𝗛𝟮𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 🌍: After a long wait of almost two years, the results of the first H2Global tender have been announced - and they are a mixed bag. Of the three lots put out to tender (green ammonia, SAF and green methanol), only one was awarded. The lot for SAF was completely cancelled due to a lack of bids. And even in the awarded tender for green ammonia, there is a high risk that European taxpayers' money will be used to finance the scaling of non-European companies instead of European technology. Therefore, the auction procedure must be amended to ensure that strategic European value creation is guaranteed in these projects. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: In Germany, the Federal Cabinet has provided an important impetus for the faster development of the hydrogen economy by passing the #HydrogenAccelerationAct. In particular, the fact that hydrogen plants will be classified as being “in the overriding public interest” will support to speed up the planning and approval processes. 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘄: Poland has announced a series of measures to boost the country's hydrogen industry, i.a. a revised hydrogen law, bringing regulations in line with EU-level legislation. Furthermore, the government unveiled a 630m EUR program for local electrolyser manufacturing to boost innovation and industry. Across Europe, the hydrogen economy - especially the manufacturing side - is gaining momentum. We have to build on this momentum by making sure that the off-take side of the hydrogen economy is not forgotten, and by closing remaining funding gaps. If both sides, production and off-take, function properly, hydrogen will play the major role it deserves in Europe's industrial decarbonization. With the current announcements, Europe is one step closer. #HydrogenIsTheAnswer
