REFLECTION ⏪ 2023 PART #2 - THE FUTURE OF REUSABLE PACKAGING AND E-COMMERCE
It’s no secret that since we founded PIZZycle in 2022, we have been overwhelmed with an incredible amount of interest for our product. Monday-Sunday, from very early in the morning to very late at night, pizza restaurants, festivals, reuse systems, etc. from all over the world have been reaching out to us to become part of the #ReusablePizzaBoxRevolution .
To be honest, we anticipated pre-launch somehow that the interest for reusable pizza box from professionals would be great, but we have never envisioned how immens the B2C interest for a reusable pizza box would be. Here, we have identified two main use-cases:
🍕Picking up pizza at pizzerias who don’t yet offer PIZZycle
🍕Storage/transportation box for their home-made pizza creations
We quickly had to adapt our strategy and find the best way to offer PIZZycle B2C as well. So within four months, we were able to design and develop two new websites including online-shops and a brand-new look (yes, we like cowboy boots 🤠) that we launched in February of 2023.
Of course it was a big #challenge for us, starting from designing everything from scratch, to figuring out how to communicate our product and its plentiful use-cases in a way that’s understandable for everyone.
Here’s a glimpse of some special features you can find on our websites:
👉Bold branding that has never been seen before like this in reusables to make it appetising and fun, as it should be!
👉A clear distinction between our target groups (B2B and B2C) to lead them correctly (which is why we have two shop pages)
👉Allowing smaller B2B orders to be handled through our B2B shop, avoiding long and boring customer-supplier processes
Fast forward to February 2024, we are STILL over the moon getting orders from places we have only dreamed to visit. From Alaska and Hawaii, to people travelling to Europe, ordering their PIZZycle to their hotels to take them back home. Seeing enthusiastic users is what we do all of this for🌍💚.
Before starting our e-commerce journey, we didn’t work with many B2B and B2C distributors, but since our launch, we have established more and more partnerships that enable more people to hear about us. 👉 If you are interested in working with us, feel free to reach out!
