KHD global management came together in Nanjing, China, on 14-15 May to discuss the next steps on our journey together. All KHD regional locations were represented at the meeting, as well as our core Management Team from Cologne, Germany. Cemtech Asia is returning to Jakarta in 2024 to talk decarbonization in Asia's cement industry. And KHD will be there!    Indonesia is one of Asia's largest cement producers with the Indonesian Cement Association representing 120 million tpy of cement capacity. Cemtech Asia returns to this key market for the first time in a decade on 2-5 June with a range of world-class exhibitors and speakers. Our very own André Sybon will be among them with a presentation highlighting recent successes of our Pyrorotor® alternative fuel reactor in Asia.   "The Pyrorotor alternative fuel reactor is our most advanced alternative fuel solution, allowing the use of even very low-quality fuels with almost no pre-processing," explained André. "I'm excited to share our successes with this technology at Cemtech Asia and discuss how it can support Asia's cement producers on their decarbonization journeys."   André will present his paper at 10:00 on 4 June. Decarbonisation in Cement Industry has become necessary for survival of Human Race as well as overall sustainability. Machinery suppliers are looking for new technologies to achieve the mission zero as set by COP-26. Cement Industry shall see lot of changes in practices of manufacturing in coming 25-30 years right from Oxyfuel, AFR, Digitisation, Clay Calcination Carbon Capture and its utisation and so on. Cement produced by conventional technology may become costly by imposing Carbon Tax and newer technologies may take higher share in coming 20-25 years.My Interview published in ICR May 2024 highlights some of these thoughts.
