Jaroslaw began his career with an apprenticeship at EOS, gaining valuable international exposure and many fond memories. After completing his apprenticeship, he joined Volocopter as a warehouse, logistics, and fleet coordinator. Around one month ago, Jaro joined us to take on new opportunities and further his career. He has been focusing on inbound and outbound logistics, as well as creating and adapting processes to support production. Jaro has noticed DeepDrive's significant progress over the past three years and enjoys being part of a dynamic, youthful team. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, considering them the most important part of his life. Recently, we proudly announced our collaboration with BMW Group. Today, we're pleased to share the success story by BMW Startup Garage, which captures how our extensive collaboration started two years ago as well as the progress we have made:   From being discovered by BMW's research team at IAA Mobility in 2021, to a successful pilot project with outstanding test bench results, we are now launching the first practical tests. We had a fantastic time at the Family & Friends BBQ at DeepDrive! It was wonderful to see our closest ones come together and get to know each other. Timothy, our working student, moved to Munich in 2016 and has since balanced an apprenticeship at MAN Truck & Bus SE with a Bachelor's degree at Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences before joining DeepDrive. He started at DeepDrive in 2022, after a recommendation from Tobi and a memorable interview at FSG 2022. After a semester abroad at the University of Florida, he returned to work on his Master thesis, focusing on CST rotor speed strength. Timothy's expertise in ANSYS simulations has significantly boosted our capabilities. He collaborates closely with his mentor, Alexander, our Co-founder and Chief Engineer, and colleague, Pit, to drive innovation. Today marks a significant milestone for DeepDrive as we announce our collaboration with BMW to road-test our Dual Rotor electric drive technology. This groundbreaking concept delivers powerful, efficient, and high-range motors, redefining electric mobility.   Following exceptional results in our pilot phase, where our technology surpassed performance benchmarks on test benches, we are now moving to real-world road trials. Various versions of our drive systems will undergo rigorous testing in BMW Group vehicles, validating their performance and efficiency in diverse driving conditions.   Our Dual Rotor concept combines the advantages of two electric motors in one, offering compact size, low weight, and high torque density. This innovative approach supports both In-Wheel-Drive configurations and traditional Central Drive setups, catering to a wide range of vehicle models.   Two years ago, we made our first steps in the collaboration with the BMW Startup Garage. Its venture-client model has been instrumental in accelerating our innovation journey. Aiala's journey is as diverse as it is inspiring. Starting in Portugal with a Bachelor’s in Business Communication, she moved to Vienna for a Master’s in International Tourism Management. Her career kicked off in tourism, then transitioned to the medical sector, and now she’s making a mark in the automotive industry with DeepDrive. At DeepDrive, Aiala focuses on finance support and legal aspects. She also assists with quality matters, ensuring that efforts are made to comply with industry standards to achieve certifications and labels such as ISO 27001 and TISAX. She is also involved in the Women in Automotive mentorship program, an initiative by an organization we partner with to support and empower our female colleagues in the industry. Aiala appreciates DeepDrive’s inclusive and supportive culture. Benedikt's journey from student to automotive innovator began at the Technical University of Munich, where his love for control systems was sparked by developing the vehicle dynamic control system for a four-wheel-drive electric race car with the Formula Student team. His career took off at Argo AI, focusing on the motion control of autonomous vehicles. After Argo AI shut down, Benedikt sought to stay in a more agile environment and joined DeepDrive, attracted by its dynamic culture. At DeepDrive, he plays a crucial role in the software team, focusing on the testing and verification of DeepDrive’s embedded software code. Passionate about automated testing, Benedikt leverages modern tools to ensure the efficient and functionally safe software deployment. Motivated by the potential of DeepDrive's technology to enhance traffic efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions, Benedikt's work aligns with his commitment to sustainability and innovation. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with friends and engaging in outdoor activities like skiing, mountaineering, and kite surfing.
