Agents were introduced in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with the November 18, 2019 update for Operation Shattered Web and are purely cosmetic addition to customize a player's model.
Overview[]
Agents are a replacement of default faction models. They often include more complex details and accessories which the default faction models are missing. Agents are shown in gameplay and cannot be disabled. They are also visible on the main menu and buy menu where they hold a weapon or item. Unlike skins, agents do not have pattern indexes and wear values. Therefore, generally there are no overpay on the Steam Community Market for agents. The only differentiating factor will be patches which the player can place on the model. Patches share a similar relationship that stickers and skins have.
Agents can be obtained by:
- A limited time Operation Shop,
- Trading with other players,
- Purchasing from the Steam Market.
Rarity[]
Agents are available in the following rarities:
- Blue - Distinguished
- Purple - Exceptional
- Pink - Superior
- Red - Master
There are no consistent visual features which can distinguish an agent's rarity from one another. The only differences are that Master agents have unique, additional voice lines and a cheer which is shown at the end of the game.
Factions[]
There are 13 main factions with some having some sub-divisions as agents. Below is a list of factions with agents. Some parent factions do not have an icon (TACP for example). This means the main faction does not have an agent variant, but the sub-divisions do.
