PUBLIC NOTICE THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD 2024 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REPORT (CAPER) AMENDMENT TO 2023 ACTION PLAN PUBLIC HEARING AND COMMENT PERIOD The City of Springfield is required to prepare an Action Plan and Consolidated Annual Performance Report (CAPER) to report on the planned use and past year use and expenditures of its annual grants of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Partnership Program and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds received from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The 2024 Action Plan cover activities to be supported during the City's 2024 Program Year, which is from April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025. The most recent reports prepared cover activities during the City's 2023 Program Year, which was from April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2024. As part of this reporting process, the City must make the completed draft reports available for review by interested citizens for comment on their contents and incorporate any comments into the final reports. A Public Hearing to present the results of the reports and discuss the City's CDBG, HOME and ESG Programs for the 2023 and 2024 Program Years will be held at a Public meeting in the City Forum on the 1st Floor of City Hall at 76 E. High Street, on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 at 5:30pm. Beginning Monday July 1st, 2024, draft reports and plans will be available for public examination and a 15-Day Comment Period will begin on Tuesday July 2nd, 2024. The report will be posted to the City's Website at www. springfieldohio.gov and copies of the report will be available in the Community Development Department of City Hall and all branches of the public library during business hours. Email requests will be accommodated, email neighborhoodimpact@springfieldohio.gov. All interested agencies, groups and persons are invited to submit written comments on the Annual Report for consideration by the City to the Community Development Division. Such written comments should be received on or before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024. Requests for the Public Meeting or Report to be translated into Spanish and ALS will be accommodated upon request.
