First batch of Peruvian blueberries of the new season arrives. Overview of blueberries from China-Peru, complemented by charts from Agronometrics. The first batch of Peruvian blueberries of the new season has arrived in the market. The variety is “Pop,” known for its large and extra-large fruits, measuring 18mm+ and 22mm+ in size. The actual size of these berries is even larger, with ideal quality and hardness. Currently, 22mm+ blueberries are sold at approximately ¥200 apiece. The arrival volume is limited and has been almost completely sold out. American stone fruits, including the popular Midnight Rose Plum from last year, have also arrived. The current #28 specification is priced around ¥370 apiece, similar to last year’s price. The overall quality and hardness are good, though there are more medium-sized fruits and fewer large ones. Buy locally grown blueberries over imports – farmer. Overview of blueberries from United Kingdom, complemented by charts from Agronometrics. A blueberry grower is calling on the public and fellow farmers to choose locally grown produce over imported varieties. Hall Hunter, which runs two farms in Surrey, will grow about 3,000 tonnes of blueberries this season – nearly 50% of the entire UK harvest. But with demand increasing, more than 64,000 tonnes of blueberries are expected be imported in 2024. Camposol partners with Ninjacart to boost its blueberries in India. The plan is to distribute Camposol blueberries in more than 100 cities through more than 100,000 retail outlets. ¡Prepara un smoothie saludable y delicioso de arándanos, chía y kale! Ingredientes: 1 taza de arándanos frescos o congelados 1 taza de hojas de kale (sin el tallo) 1 cucharada de semillas de chía 1 plátano maduro 1 taza de leche de almendra (o cualquier otra leche vegetal o regular) 1/2 taza de yogur natural (opcional para una textura más cremosa) 1 cucharada de miel o sirope de agave (opcional, para endulzar) 1/2 taza de hielo (opcional, si deseas un smoothie más frío y espeso) Instrucciones: Preparar los ingredientes: Lava bien los arándanos y las hojas de kale. Si utilizas arándanos congelados, no es necesario descongelarlos. Combinar en la licuadora: Coloca los arándanos, las hojas de kale, las semillas de chía, el plátano, la leche de almendra, y el yogur (si lo estás usando) en una licuadora. Añadir endulzante: Agrega la miel o el sirope de agave si deseas un smoothie más dulce. Añadir hielo: Si prefieres un smoothie más frío y espeso, añade el hielo. Licuar: Licúa todos los ingredientes a alta velocidad hasta obtener una mezcla suave y homogénea. Si la mezcla está demasiado espesa, puedes añadir un poco más de leche de almendra hasta alcanzar la consistencia deseada. Servir: Vierte el smoothie en un vaso y disfrútalo de inmediato. Morocco triples blueberry exports to Asia. Morocco is becoming a world leader in blueberry exports, and the upward trend is affecting several markets, including Southeast Asia. Since 2019, the Kingdom has tripled its exports to this market despite the drought. Moroccan exports of fresh blueberries are expanding rapidly, making Morocco the 5th largest supplier of this fruit to Southeast Asian countries in 2023, having supplied 1,500 tonnes compared with 450 tonnes in 2019.
