Lane-changing can always be challenging on highways, sometimes even frightening when large trucks start signaling to change lanes. Lane changes cause an estimated 12% of motorway accidents. 🛣️ Highway Assist with automated ADAS functions can be the game changer in reducing the number of highway accidents involving commercial vehicles. 🚚 ZF harnesses the latest ADAS, braking and steering platforms, OnGuardMAX, mBSP XBS, and ReAX, together with an additional in-cab camera that continuously monitors the driver's attention to support the automatic lane-changing maneuver. If the system detects that the driver is paying attention and the next lane is not occupied, the system automatically initiates the lane-change maneuver as soon as the driver activates the indicator.
