What a pleasure to host the outgoing CEO of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce (SACC) Martin Naville and its incoming CEO Rahul Sahgal Tuesday at the Swiss Residence in Francisco 🌉. The networking reception with the members of the SACC‘s San Francisco chapter was an opportunity to say „au-revoir“ and say thank you to Martin Naville for his 20 years of outstanding service to the SACC. At the same time, it was a cheerful moment to welcome and get to know Dr. Rahul Sahgal and his plans for the future of the Chamber. During the evening, the excellent and ever-growing economic, trade and investment relations between 🇨🇭and 🇺🇸 were analysed, discussed and appreciated. Not only is the U.S. the largest market for Swiss exports, but Switzerland is also the 7th largest FDI investor and Swiss companies contribute to almost 500,000 jobs in the U.S. - what an impact! Ahead of the reception at the Swiss residence we visited MISTA a multi-dimensional innovation platform for food technologies based in San Francisco. Major 🇨🇭 companies such as Givaudan, Bühler Group & SIG Group active in the sector, but also the Swiss Business Hub USA are proud members of and contributors to MISTA. Last Friday, the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, Florida Chapter, hosted a memorable evening to bid farewell to our esteemed Swiss AMCHAM CEO, Martin Naville, who, after 20 years of service, will soon retire, and to warmly welcome the newly appointed CEO, Rahul Sahgal. Notable guests, chamber members, and the talented artist Justyna Kisielewicz gathered to celebrate at the Galeria ‘la Cometa’ in Allapattah, Miami. We thank Martin for his outstanding contributions to fostering the economic relationship between Switzerland and the United States and wish Rahul great success in his new role. On June 10, 2024, members of the Swiss Amcham gathered at Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue in Rüschlikon for the AGM 2024. This was indeed a very special AGM as it was the last one for outgoing CEO, Martin Naville, after being at the helm for 20 incredible years. On the flip side, it was wonderful to have Dr. Rahul Sahgal, the Swiss Amcham incoming CEO, attending his first of hopefully many AGMs. The guests were welcomed by video messages from Federal Councillor, Guy Parmelin, The Honorable Scott C. Miller, The United States Ambassador to Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, as well as H.E. Jacques Pitteloud, Ambassador of Switzerland to the United States of America.   Riet CADONAU, Director Zehnder Group International AG Group, André Kudelski, Chairman and CEO of Kudelski Group, and Leanne Geale, EVP & Group General Counsel of Nestlé, were all re-elected by the Board of Directors for a further year of office as Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer of Swiss Amcham, respectively. Eleven new board members were elected to the Amcham Board of Directors.
