Do you wish you could easily capture podcast content to refer back to later? Like many people I love a podcast and with a 3 hour round commute on days I’m in the office I have a lot of time to listen and consume. I also often listen to podcasts which have applications to my real life and towards real goals I’m trying to reach. In other words it would be useful for me to remember my takeaways and refer back to them later. The 2nd thing is that our brains are imperfect - I never have and I never will remember everything I consume and that is a fact of life. Unless I write it down it disappears into the ether…. Until I was introduced to this amazing application called Snipd ⭐️ Not only does it add highlights to podcasts you’re listening to by a click of a button (similar to kindle) but it also uses powerful AI to give that highlight a title and summarises it into a number of key takeaways. It then handily syncs with note taking apps like Evernote or readwise which enables you to search and re-discover your highlights when you need them. I found an app that can 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 by 10x! I love learning through podcasts because I can do it while walking, running, or cycling. There are podcasts for almost every topic and aspect of life, and they offer valuable tips similar to those from expensive coaches. The only problem is that taking notes while listening is difficult: • Impossible to take notes while running or cycling • While walking, you end up looking at your phone more than your surroundings • The podcast keeps playing when you try to write, and you might miss some parts. 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆, 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽 "𝗦𝗻𝗶𝗽𝗱" (𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗢𝗦 + 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗱): • Snipd automatically generates and shows the podcast transcript. • While listening, you can automatically highlight the current spot by triple-tapping your headphones or pressing a button in the app, just like using a text marker to highlight written text. • The app presents all the highlights from a podcast episode in an organized way. • It provides AI-summarised and cleaned-up (!!) key insights based on your highlights!
