A recent report by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) states that improving sexual and reproductive health and rights in the workplace, not only boosts business performance, but also advances crucial sustainability goals on human rights, gender equality and employee well-being. Ultimately, this drives progress towards a just and equitable society. We are proud to have been recognised by the UNFPA in this report for our work in fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment through our Building Families at Ferring initiative. This highlights our commitment to creating a ‘fertility and family friendly’ workplace, that includes a minimum of 26 weeks of equal paid parental leave for both birthing and non-birthing parents. At Ferring, we know how important the gut microbiome is when it comes to maintaining our health. You can think of the gut microbiome as a forest. Just like a healthy forest is home to a balanced variety of interacting plants, animals and insects, the gut microbiome also needs diversity and balance to thrive. Interested to learn more? Watch our animation to get to know the gut microbiome and its role in human health. #GutMicrobiome

Last week, we hosted a webinar in partnership with Fertility Matters at Work about how we can better support LGBTQ+ people on their family building journeys. Facilitator Becky Kearns was joined by an expert panel to discuss the unique challenges LGBTQ+ families face and how workplaces can be more inclusive. During Pride Month and beyond, we commit to advocating for everyone’s right to build a family, no matter who you are, where you live or who you love. Our global family building benefits package provides equal opportunities to all employees who want to become parents, making no assumptions about gender, sexual orientation, or relationship status.
