📢 We are thrilled to announce that Carrot has been selected by Oxygea to participate in their 2024 accelerator program, an investment, mentoring and business execution journey for promising startups focused on the Circular Economy, Decarbonization, Industry 4.0, Advanced Materials and Logisitcs! 👍 🚀 We are honored to be one of 6 startups selected out of 291 candidates and excited to embark on this journey with fellow cohort participants building incredible solutions: Flowls (Anna Valle), Trackfy (Tulio Cerviño), Pix Force (Daniel Moura), A4 Solutions (Ana Flávia Rodrigues, Eloverde (André Fraga). It really meant a lot to our team at Carrot that our first institutional presentation of the BOLD Recycling Credit occurred at the Zero Waste Forum held in San Francisco, before some of the most important leaders in the Zero Waste movement. Minutes before the presentation, Richard (Rick/Ric) Anthony, founder and president of the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA), said to our CEO Ian McKee, “Ian, the key to it all is to deal with the organics first.” As it turns out, this is exactly what BOLD (Breakthrough in Organics Landfill Diversion) is designed to do. The BOLD Recycling Credit is built as a financing mechanism to remove organic waste from traditional waste streams and return it to its natural biological carbon cycle, thereby also cleaning up recycling streams and enabling system-wide Zero Waste performance. We also had the great privilege to bring forward a vision for how the environmental movement will be able to participate in building a zero waste future, organized on top of the blockchain network. In essence, we will all become accountable for the waste we produce through on-chain record-keeping, and we will also be incentivized to work together with third parties to reduce our impact through the sharing of proceeds that result from credit sales. Best of all, in this future, we will become more than just users on a network; we will be able to participate in its governance and stewardship through shared ownership.
