What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking a dedicated and engaging individual who is ready and willing to challenge themselves by utilizing their unique collection of knowledge, skills and experience in new ways in the following capacity:
- Strategically develop optimized customer purchasing portfolio based on historical sales trends, product categories, and relevant industry data/behaviour.
- In conjunction with the Vice President, Sales, develop; manage; and maintain an effective House Accounts sales process to maximize sales potential.
- Conduct outbound sales via telephone and email; actively follow up with CB customer base to promote and drive value-added products and solutions through effective cross-selling, upselling, and current product/marketing promotions.
- Receive and respond appropriately to sales leads presented by CB Customer service Representatives (CSRs) and Outbound Sales Representatives (OSRs) of International Customer Care Services Incorporated (ICCS).
- Continuously follow-up on and actively convert open customer quotes to sales, in accordance with the quote follow-up process.
- Establish, build, and maintain positive and effective business relationships with CB customers and vendors.
- Document, manage, and follow-up on customer/vendor incidents and concerns appropriately, and in a timely manner.
- Engage in effective negotiation with suppliers to maximize cost savings and increase CB margin; and communicate price increases to customers accordingly.
- Ensure alignment and compliance with Pricing and related processes (e.g. pricing overrides).
- Engage in continuous learning and development regarding CB’s products, services, and processes to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
- Knowledge of the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operation) industry, Industrial Supply Chain, products & services is an asset.
- Strong knowledge and application of sales management skills (e.g. selling total cost, negotiation, closing, presenting, handling objections, forecasting, and reporting).
- Minimum 1 year experience in outbound sales, telemarketing, or related customer service.
- Strong evidence based decision making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation.
- Effective goal setting, planning and prioritization skills.
- Engages in evidence based decision making skills to meet targets, create growth and prioritizing sales opportunities.
- Good general business acumen.
- Active listening skills; able to probe and understand the need behind the need.
- Collaborative solutions-focus with the ability to effectively build and advance strong, productive relationships.
