Grateful for the support and partnership of Rootree Inc. Congratulations on your impact to date 🙌
Our friends at veritree recently visited the Cariboo planting site in British Columbia, an area devastated by the 2017, 2018, and 2021 forest fires, which burned over 1.3 million hectares of land, endangering wildlife and Indigenous communities. So far, Rootree Inc. has contributed to restoring just over 1 hectare of this land, a small but meaningful step toward a long journey of healing and renewal. While the team was on-site, they featured our compostable pouches in a dedicated photo shoot against this backdrop. We're proud to partner with Veritree to restore nature, to make a tangible difference, and see green spaces thrive again.

We love to dive into conversations on how businesses can drive meaningful change for our planet. Check out our recent conversation with Enterprise Canada's Katie Boothby-Kung.
🌳 Exciting times at "Talking Purpose"! Our latest podcast episode features an inspiring conversation with my old colleague Montana Brisbin, who now leads marketing and communications at veritree, an innovative environmental company spun out of the apparel brand, tentree. Dive into our chat to discover how businesses can become powerful agents of change for the environment. 🎙️🔗 Listen to the full episode in the comments Here are three key takeaways from our discussion: ✨ Fast Decision-Making and Adaptation: Moving from legacy brands to a startup, Montana sheds light on the fresh pace and agility required, emphasizing the need for swift decision-making and constant adaptation. ✨ Integrated Sustainability: Veritree's holistic approach shows how businesses can weave sustainable practices into their core operations, driving both environmental and economic benefits. Examples like their mangrove planting project in Kenya illustrate the interconnectedness of environmental stewardship and community welfare. ✨ Combating Greenwashing: Veritree's third-party verification and data collection tools aim to ensure genuine sustainability efforts. This becomes crucial for businesses wanting to build transparency and trust with their stakeholders and avoid the pitfalls of greenwashing. Montana's insights are invaluable for anyone passionate about sustainability and looking to make a real impact through their business. 🌱✨ #Sustainability #Environment #BusinessTransformation #TreePlanting #TalkingPurpose #podcast

This #WorldEnvironmentDay we're putting a spotlight on restoration. The below ecosystem has been degraded due to over-harvesting for charcoal and increased erosion due to climate change. We're actively working with Earthlungs Reforestation Foundation to restore it to the full, lush, and bushy mangrove estuary that it used to be. Join us by visiting https://lnkd.in/gcZQ2rHB
