About us
Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, Taseko Mines Limited is a dynamic international mining company driven to unlock the true value of copper in North America for its investors, employees, communities, and for the complex changing world. As a leading copper producer, Taseko recognizes and delivers enduring opportunity through developing and operating world-class copper mines and mineral properties in British Columbia and Arizona. Taseko’s corporate strategy is to grow the company sustainably and profitably by focusing on the continued operations of the Company’s foundational asset, the Gibraltar Mine, while also developing its pipeline of high-quality advanced- stage development projects. The long-life, low-cost Gibraltar copper mine (75% owned) located in south-central BC, is a state-of-the-art facility that has won numerous environmental and safety awards for operational excellence. It is second largest open pit copper mine in Canada, producing an average of 130 million pounds of copper and 2.5 million pounds of molybdenum per year, and supporting a 700+ person workforce. Taseko is also advancing the Florence Copper project in Arizona – a near-term copper producer with an unparalleled energy, water and GHG profile per unit of production. Florence Copper is a unique ‘in-situ copper recovery’ project which, once in production, will significantly increase Taseko’s annual metal production, delivering a necessary metal our society requires for a low-carbon future. In addition, Taseko also owns the Yellowhead copper project and the Aley niobium project providing the Company with a diverse development opportunity.

Taseko has published its annual Sustainability Report, titled H20 + ESG. The report focuses on the Company’s operational and sustainability achievements at the Gibraltar Mine in 2023, and also highlights social and economic contributions from the Florence Copper project in Arizona, which will soon become the Company’s second operating asset. Taseko’s 2023 Sustainability Report also highlights several significant initiatives underway across the Company to conserve and reuse water, and to achieve water management objectives. This includes a pioneering in-situ biological water treatment initiative undertaken at the Gibraltar mine last year – part of a long-term water management program that has achieved a 77% reduction in free water stored in the mine’s tailings storage facility over the past decade. Stuart McDonald, President & CEO of Taseko, commented, “We’re proud of Taseko’s sustainability performance, and our continued focus on the issues and opportunities that generate the greatest value for our shareholders, employees and operating communities. Our priority investments in water quality and water conservation initiatives, outlined in this report, are further examples of our approach. These accomplishments would not be possible without the important contributions of our employees and business partners.” To read the full report visit https://lnkd.in/gyNrpmHf #copper #sustainabilityreport #taseko #gibraltarmine #florencecopper

Educating the Future - Taseko's Partnership with MineralsEd Taseko is proud to be a partner in MineralsEd’s Regional Spotlight: A Career in the Mining Industry Series! The initiative is part of Taseko’s ongoing commitment to foster education and career opportunities in the mining sector for young people. Students were invited to Gibraltar for an immersive experience at an operating mine site. This hands-on encounter allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of mining careers. The turnout was exceptional, with Gibraltar hosting 50 students and their teachers from the Cariboo-Chilcotin (SD 27), Quesnel (SD 28), and Barriere (SD 73) school districts. Today is Moose Hide Campaign Day, a powerful movement against gender-based violence. Originating from the heart of British Columbia, the Moose Hide Campaign is more than just a movement; it's a testament to the power of grassroots efforts in fostering change. But why Moose hide? For many Indigenous communities, it's not just material - it's medicine, carrying deep cultural significance. At Taseko and Gibraltar Mine, we're proud to stand in solidarity with this vital cause. That's why we have provided all our 700+ employees with Moose Hide Pins, sparking conversations and spreading awareness about ending gender-based violence. Together, let's be the change we wish to see in the world. #MooseHideCampaign #CommunitySolidarity Pictured from left to right: Lauren Bernard, CPHR, SHRM-CP Sean Magee Liselle Pierce Ben Pierce Ainsley Wooding Korah De Walt-Gagnon, CPHR

⛏️ Happy BC Mining Month! Members of Mining Association of BC, AME - Association for Mineral Exploration and Mining Suppliers Association of B.C. (MSABC) began Mining Month on April 29 with a visit to BC’s legislature in Victoria. During Mining Day at the Legislature, 37 representatives of BC’s mining community met with members of the legislative assembly from all parties to talk about the importance of mining to the people and prosperity of British Columbia. It was a great pleasure to meet government officials including David Eby, Josie Osborne, Kevin Falcon and John Rustad to convey the message that our province’s critical minerals offer British Columbians a generational opportunity. This year’s Mining Month theme ‘Critical Minerals – The Time Is Now’ emphasizes that we must act now to seize our province’s critical minerals opportunity to create good high-paying jobs, advance economic reconciliation and contribute to climate action. Throughout May, MABC will share insights on our social channels about BC's critical minerals industry – follow along! Taseko is excited to kick off fundraising for the annual Mining for Miracles Pie Throw campaign – the BC Mining Industry’s signature program in support of BC Children's Hospital Foundation Last year, Team Taseko & CFO Bryce Hamming raised more than $32,000 through an employee-driven campaign, Gibraltar and Taseko company matching, and support from Bryce’s family, friends, and business network. This year, we hope to match our 2023 total! If not, beat it! Terry J. Morris, P.Eng., Taseko’s VP of Operations, has volunteered to be Team Taseko’s pie participant for 2024, competing against Mount Polley GM Kelly Parker. We look forward to seeing what Team Taseko can do in support of Terry. If you would like to contribute to this important cause, please visit https://lnkd.in/gHB_yz-d
