According to this article from Smith School of Business at Queen's University more than two-thirds of respondents to a 2023 survey admitted to working while on holiday. What about YOU? On your next vacation, pause to consider this: 1) Are you drawn to logging on? 2) If so, what is drawing you to do so? For some, it's feeling uneasy with downtime. Or avoiding difficult conversations. For others, the Hyper-Achiever saboteur (in Positive Intelligence terminology) is pushing them to narrowly focus on achievement - often at the expense of relationships and well-being. Your mindset is key in determining how you respond to challenges. In Positive Intelligence terminology, a positive (or Sage) mindset will help you consider the gift of opportunity in any challenge. And while it may not be immediately apparent, being open to the possibility can help you down the growth path.
