⏩ It was a great week for the SVX Colombian Impact Investing Fund tour, advancing connections, knowledge exchange, and bilateral partnerships. And what a trip! 5 days, 3 cities, 4 Colombian impact investing funds, 17+ different meetings and events, connections with 500+ people, and more. All designed to build the case to mobilize new capital towards climate action and biodiversity, gender equality and rural development. 🏋️ The delegation did a remarkable job as ambassadors for their organizations, their country, and the global impact investing community. I was honoured to join the group including: David R. Sánchez and Mariana Rivas of Amplo, Paula Sanchez and Diego Lozano of Campo Capital S.A.S., Matteo Gilliotti of Empodera at New Ventures, and Ximena Trujillo of Inversor. Beyond the attention and interest to drive action from Canadians, one affirmation of their impact from a Colombian Canadian: "As a Colombian, I feel proud...they were amazing. Please thank them for the work they do." 🙏Thank you to the following organizations for supporting, hosting or meeting with the delegation including: Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada, PROCOLOMBIA, DLA Piper, TMX Group, MaRS Discovery District, Convergence Blended Finance, Finance Montréal, BMO, Esplanade Québec, Inspirit Foundation, Laidlaw Foundation, Lawson Foundation, Toronto Public Library, Quinn+Partners , Sarona Asset Management, Réseau Capital, SETSI, Future of Good, Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, and many others. Thanks also to Canadian (and Colombian) impact advisors including Diego J Penagos, Lina Bowden, Alexandra C., and Eoin Callan...and especially Eric Meerkamper for your leadership and support for the entire tour. And thanks to the SVX team for making this happen including Zaira Campo Arias, Gabriella Yapp, Helen Z., Paula Sahyoun, Ameeta Vijay, Kevin Taylor, Lade Balogun, and Sharujan Santoshkumar. And especially to Paula Delgadillo Sanz de Santamaría from SVX Colombia for her tremendous leadership.
