RGC works to reduce gambling risks by creating and delivering innovative awareness and information programs. It also promotes the adoption of improved play safeguards through best practices research, standards development and the RG Check accreditation program. RGC is committed to bringing together all perspectives in the reduction of gambling problems including those of people with firsthand experience with gambling problems, gaming providers, regulators, policy makers and treatment professionals.

This week, RGC joined OLG and Rama First Nation to celebrate the grand opening of the newly designed PlaySmart Centre space at Casino Rama Resort. RGC commends the collaboration between OLG and Rama First Nation to create a truly remarkably unique space that weaves Indigenous elements into the design of the centre. The space also includes original artwork by local artist Paul Shilling (Dazaunggee) of Rama First Nation. RGC is proud of our continued collaboration with OLG and commend them for their commitment to continuing to innovate and enhance the PlaySmart Centres, which helps to meet the needs of the players as the industry continues to grow and evolve.

Yesterday, we joined Rama First Nation Chief, Ted Williams, Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited, and the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) to celebrate the unveiling of our newly redesigned PlaySmart Centre at Casino Rama Resort. OLG worked closely with Elders from Rama First Nation to thoughtfully integrate Indigenous elements into the new PlaySmart Centre design, resulting in a very distinct and culturally resonant aesthetic. Featuring an original piece of artwork from local artist Paul Shilling (Dazaunggee) of Rama First Nation, it truly is one of a kind. Operated in partnership with the RGC, the centre will serve as an education space where players can learn about the games they love and access advice and resources to help keep the fun in the game.
