Sumreen had the wonderful opportunity to participate in two sessions covering the importance of repurposing EV batteries at the end of their lifecycle in vehicles. Second-life EV batteries, with an average of 80% state-of-health remaining, can be used in stationary battery energy storage applications for another 7 to 10 years.

Our solution helps off-grid customers reduce diesel consumption and transition to renewables, and also provides peak shaving and backup power for commercial and industrial customers. Moment Energy was recognized as the Grand Prize Winner of the 2021 National Impact Investor Challenge held by Spring Activator in June 2021. On October 4th, 2021, we placed third in the 2021 New Ventures BC Competition, British Columbia’s largest annual tech startup competition. Big news! In our latest deployment, our team at Moment Energy collaborated with TUGLIQ Energy Corp. to implement a battery energy storage system (BESS) designed to reduce fuel consumption at relocatable temporary camps (RTCs) for the Canadian Department of National Defence/Ministère de la défense nationale. Our BESS, paired with a solar array and wind turbine, has reduced fuel needs at these camps by at least 33%. The results demonstrate our capability to minimize diesel consumption and provide worldwide access to clean, affordable, and reliable power.
