We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Women in Mining (WIM) – Timmins Chapter, which took place on June 14th, just in time for the International Day of Women in Mining! This milestone event was made possible with the incredible support of the Timmins Chamber of Commerce, CIM, Minister of Mines George Pirie, and Mayor Michelle Boileau. Hillary Laughren of Lake Shore Gold will be co-chairing this committee alongside Gabriella Desmarais of NPLH Drilling. Their mission is to empower women in the mining sector by facilitating meaningful connections among peers, mentors, and industry leaders. Lake Shore Gold, Timmins West/Bell Creek Mines, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver, successfully defended their 2023 title and were crowned the 2024 Timmins District Mine Rescue Champions. The team not only received the top award for the Timmins District, but they also secured several additional team awards: - MCQ Award (Theory) - Special Equipment Award -  First Aid Award - Mutual Aid Friendly Challenge Lake Shore Gold, Timmins West/Bell Creek Mines, subsidiaria de Pan American Silver, defendió con éxito su título de 2023 coronándose Campeón de Rescate Minero del Distrito de Timmins 2024. El equipo no solo recibió el máximo premio por el Distrito de Timmins, sino que también obtuvo varios premios adicionales:   - Premio MCQ (Teoría)   - Premio de Equipo Especial   - Premio de primeros auxilios   - Desafío amistoso de ayuda mutua   Lake Shore Gold, Timmins West/Bell Creek Mines, uma subsidiária da Pan American Silver, defendeu com sucesso seu título de 2023 ao ser coroada campeã de resgate de minas do distrito de Timmins de 2024.
