Every year on July 1st, over 200,000 people in the province of Quebec, Canada take part in a tradition called Moving Day. It’s a day when fingers take a beating—from lifting boxes, carrying furniture, you name it. Being the home of Finger Lickin’ Good, KFC Canada couldn’t stand by while fingers suffered. We partnered with Courage Inc. to create Finger Lickin’ Injury Claims, a cheeky brand act compensating injured fingers on Moving Day with free KFC. Supporting the campaign is out-of-home parodying personal injury billboards, complete with a hotline number that movers can call. When they do, they are greeted with automated messages from KFC’s Finger Injury Claims Department inviting them to submit a claim. We have created a unique campaign that speaks to our Quebec consumers by positioning KFC as the core meal to have after moving into a new home. KFC Canada used Moving Day as an opportunity to connect with Quebec by driving modernity, relevance and creating fun memories for movers. - Chaque année, le 1er juillet, plus de 200 000 Québécois, participent à une tradition appelée "jour du déménagement". C'est une journée où les doigts sont mis à rude épreuve - soulever des boîtes, transporter des meubles, etc. Étant la maison du bon à s’en lécher les doigts, PFK Canada ne pouvait pas rester les bras croisés pendant que vos doigts souffraient. Nous avons collaboré avec Courage Inc. pour créer les réclamations à s’en lécher les doigts, un acte de marque visant à compenser les doigts blessés pendant le jour du déménagement avec du PFK gratuits. La campagne est soutenue par des panneaux d'affichage parodiques sur les dommages corporels, avec un numéro d'urgence que les déménageurs peuvent appeler. Lorsqu'ils le font, ils sont accueillis par un message automatisé du bureau de réclamation à s’en lécher les doigts de PFK, qui les invite à soumettre une demande d'indemnisation. Nous avons créé une campagne unique qui s'adresse à nos consommateurs Québécois en positionnant PFK comme le repas de chois après avoir emménagé à un nouveau domicile. PFK Canada a utilisé la journée du déménagement comme une opportunité pour établir un lien avec les Québécois en mettant l'accent sur la modernité et la pertinence en créant des souvenirs amusants pour les déménageurs.

In 2023, we brought Canadians even more Finger Lickin' Good fried chicken! We opened over 36 new restaurants and renovated over 40 more across Canada, from rural communities to dense urban centers, with new and longstanding partners. A huge thank you to everyone involved for another outstanding year, and here's to more growth in 2024.
