Pour commémorer le mois de la fierté des personnes handicapées, le GRE AccessAbility d’IO et l’équipe Environnement, Social et Gouvernance (ESG) ont organisé une séance d’information avec l’orateur invité Matthew Shaw, responsable technique de la Certification de l’accessibilité à la Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF). Matthew, né avec une surdité-cécité dégénérative, est un défenseur des personnes handicapées et un expert renommé en accessibilité. Les collègues ont eu l’occasion de découvrir la mission de la FRH et l’objectif d’IO de certification en accessibilité de la RHF (RHFAC) afin d’améliorer l’accès aux bâtiments et aux sites. Le 20 juin, l’équipe We Run IO Rainbow Alliance a organisé sa propre course de la fierté et du souvenir. Les participants pouvaient marcher 3 km ou courir 5 km, dans l’esprit d’inclusion et de communauté. Nous sommes ravis d’annoncer que nous avons récolté plus de 1000 $ pour soutenir des associations sans but lucratif 2SLGBTQ+. Un grand merci à tous les gens qui ont participé, fait des dons et soutenu cette merveilleuse cause. Ensemble, nous faisons la différence!
