Guides Spotlight: NAIMA Canada - Making a real impact on Canada's commitment to climate change This small four-person association has connected with and trained over ten thousand insulation installers across Canada -- for free -- through Guides.co. Did you know that the buildings and construction sector is by far the largest emitter of greenhouse gases, accounting for a staggering 37% of global emissions? Better insulation of our homes and buildings means we use less heat and less emissions can escape into our atmosphere. Several years ago the team at NAIMA Canada published an insulation training course on Guides.co, along with dozens of manuals and support material, in order to upskill the construction sector to making buildings more airtight. The Guides platform enabled them to partner with dozens of organizations to promote and offer their material including the province of Ontario, BC Hydro, Home Performance Stakeholder Council, Hydro One, and FortisBC. They now have a national network of trained installers that are making our homes more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly.
