Earlier this week, CPKC railroaders at our Calgary HQ embraced the spirit of the west at our annual Stampede Lunch. In a tribute to the legendary Calgary Stampede, 865 employees enjoyed a feast fit for cowboys, complete with local popcorn and chocolates, and raised $2,800 for the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation. Special thanks to our VIP servers for swapping office gear for aprons and serving up smiles. Yeehaw! 🤠

Our Little General mini-train stole the show at The Calgary Stampede Parade last week, winning the Best Western Legacy Award with its adorable western flair! Decked out in a CPKC cowboy hat and boots, it chugged its way into everyone’s hearts. A big thank you to our volunteers for championing rail safety during this cherished annual tradition. Today, our CPKC family welcomed The Empress and its devoted steam crew home as they arrived in Calgary, completing their historic round trip journey to Mexico City. Congratulations to the steam crew. Thank you for your remarkable dedication, having spent 76 days traveling nearly 10,000 miles on this unmatched transcontinental steam trip. Welcome home!

From the moment she was born, Lauren faced a challenge greater than most of us could imagine. Struggling to breathe, she was diagnosed with a serious heart defect that required urgent open-heart surgery. As we countdown just two weeks to the CPKC Women's Open, we're not just gearing up for an extraordinary golf event; we're rallying for families like Lauren's, whose lives are forever changed by the support and care they receive from Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation. This year, our goal is to raise $2.75 million to support the hospital's cardiac department and funding research for a routine blood test to detect congenital heart defects before birth. Our CPKC de México team was thrilled to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Vía Libre 5K Race in Monterrey last Saturday. 1,200 participants, including our dedicated CPKC railroaders and their family members, came together to hit the pavement for this event promoting health and wellness. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in making this year's race a fantastic success.
