Why lose valuable space and resources to your heating and cooling equipment? Increase your building's value with District Energy! District energy is rapidly gaining momentum across the North America as developers and municipalities recognize the value it brings to buildings. Building owners gain efficient and reliable energy at competitive and predictable rates and free up building space that would have been used to house the heating and cooling equipment. These spaces can be transformed into gyms, rooftop bars, or additional leasable space 💰 Check out the full article on our website here: https://lnkd.in/gd6SGWDi

What do you think? We're Team "District Energy is a Tremendous Opportunity" 🚀 💡 As Corix President & CEO, Lisa Sparrow put it, "Having the right infrastructure in the building with the ability to change the source of supply is one of the many ways we're going to make it through this energy transition." District Energy is: ✔ Efficient ✔ Resilient ✔ Reliable ✔ Proven (Hey, Europe 👋) ✔ Competitive ✔ And perhaps most important of all, flexible - adapting to changes and advances in technologies and energy sources as they become available. #DistrictEnergy #SustainableCities #EnergyTransition #ChangeThePlantNotTheCity

Last week, the team hit the links for a day of fun, sun and community at Malahat Nation's annual Golf Tournament ☀ ⛳ What an amazing day celebrating Malahat Nation’s vibrant culture and raising money to build and enhance their outdoor recreation spaces in support of children and youth in the community. In light of National Indigenous Peoples Day, we’re taking the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples by shining the spotlight on the 2024 Corix District Energy award recipients at Nicola Valley Institute of Technology, BC’s Indigenous post-secondary institute. Congratulations to Christina Pierre and Shea Henry! 🎉 ◼ Christina is from Skwlax te Secwepemculecw (Little Shuswap Lake Band) pursuing an Associates of General Art. ◼ Shea is from Cheam First Nation within Sto:lo Nation pursuing her Bachelor of Social Work. We believe supporting Indigenous Peoples and businesses creates vibrant and sustainable communities, and we’re thrilled to support Shea and Christina in their education as they continue to use their skills to positively impact their communities and beyond. Photos from NVIT’s Award Ceremony (Burnaby campus) with Corix’s Franca Petrucci, BA, MBA presenting the award to Christina. Each recipient received $2,500 towards their education. #Community #NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay #ReconciliACTION #NIPD

Earlier today, Corix's CEO Lisa Sparrow joined fellow district energy leaders on stage for the #IDEA2024 Opening Plenary Panel's discussion on District Energy for Sustainable Cities. While the path to a sustainable, low-carbon future is complex, district energy provides the opportunity to share energy more efficiently, leveraging various technologies and economies of scale to reduce carbon emissions - one development, campus, or city at a time. #SustainableCities #DistrictEnergy2024 #NetZero
“The #EnergyTransition is not just an opportunity for district energy. It’s a responsibility. But the challenge is real.” During today’s #IDEA2024 opening plenary panel, we discussed #DistrictEnergy as a faster, easier and more flexible path toward building #SustainableCities. But there is no silver bullet. We need to have one voice to raise awareness about what’s happening to our environment and work together to educate the world about how district energy can support a more sustainable future, not just in the face of climate change but also in an economically and socially sustainable way. Thanks to our panelists Lisa Sparrow of Corix, Eric T. Miller of CenTrio, Christina Ho of Con Edison, Kevin Hagerty of Vicinity Energy, Luke Gaalswyk of Ever-Green Energy, Carlyle Coutinho of Enwave Energy Corporation and Earl Collins of Cordia for the lively discussion!

What a great way to kick off National Indigenous History Month! The Indigenous Partnerships Success Showcase is Western Canada's biggest annual economic reconciliation conference and we're glad to have taken part in it. #Reconciliation #BCBusiness #NationalIndigenousHistoryMonth
Although a bit late with this, I wanted to give a big shout out to the Indigenous Partnerships Success Showcase held in Vancouver last week. It was so motivating to listen and learn from various existing successful Indigenous Partnerships. This really shows the powerful movement forward with economic reconciliation. #Corix #Indigenous #Reconciliation #equitypartnerships
