"Dear CNO, I’m an NP who works in public health. Recently, I was offered an RN position in a local doctor’s office. I’d like to take this job, but before I do so, I’d like to check—am I allowed to work as an RN with an NP registration?" Cindy Lee, RN, an Advanced Practice Consultant at CNO says, "It's common for nurses to work in different roles than the ones they are registered for, and CNO does not restrict this. Doing so comes with particular rules and accountabilities, so let’s walk through those." Read the full answer here: https://lnkd.in/g_4SZ6yS

Terrific to meet so many nursing students and nurses at the RNAO meeting. I enjoyed conversations with nurses about the increased use of technology (including AI), RN prescribing, health equity, workforce retention, and access/flow opportunities and concerns. It is always a treat to spend time with members of the College of Nurses of Ontario advanced practice team (from left to right Yvonne Yu, Cindy Lee, and Hibo Omar). Send your nursing questions to CNO's Ask Practice. https://lnkd.in/gQQ--9NN #nurse Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO) #learning
We had an amazing time last week at the 99th annual RNAO Annual General Meeting in Toronto. It’s always a pleasure to connect with so many wonderful RNs, NPs and nursing students to chat about changes to the profession—especially RN prescribing! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to chat, ask a question or say hello! #RNAOAGM Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)
