Looking forward to the MPS World Summit happening in #Seattle! I will be presenting at the Workshop for Advancing Standards and Regulatory Science for MPS and Microfluidic-based Medical Products organized by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Thanks to Jose Moran-Mirabal and Jeremy Hirota for hosting the 2024 Biomaterials and Biofabrication for Regenerative Medicine Application Symposia at McMaster University this past Friday! It was great to hear from Milica Radisic and learn about her #entrepreneurship journey with Tara Biosystems and Quthero at University of Toronto! Can't wait for #WBC2024 and to be inducted as a Fellow alongside you! It was also great to catch up with Adam Feinberg from Carnegie Mellon University and hear about the recent developments with FluidForm Bio. I can't believe we have been professors for 14 (!) years. Other great speakers included Edana Cassol and Axel Guenther. My session featured Sarah Gilpin who shared her perspective from working at variety of #biotechs and Eva Mueller, PhD (who I served as the external examiner for when she defended her Ph.D. with Todd Hoare) who also talked about her transition to #industy. As for me, apparently the main take away from my talk was "Why does everyone always feel the need to print a grid when bioprinting tissues?". It was fun to talk about the journey with Axolotl Biosciences and our #bioink technology. I also got to see some great science at the poster session. Check out some photos from my Friday below!
